Carrier Grade Policy Submission System
This client is a major insurance carrier for whom we developed an end
to end policy submission and inquiry system. ASP.NET 2, SQL Server 2005,
and our patent-pending middleware generation technology brought this
project to market quickly and cost-effective for the client.
Platform: C#/ASP.NET 2, JavaScript, Windows Server 2003, SQL Server 2005
Time Frame: Ongoing
Cross Platform Web Site
This client was making use of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL to manage
their SAS product offering. We had to create a front-end web site that
was able to automate payment processing and create a self-serve signup
for customers.
Platform: C#/ASP.NET, JavaScript, Windows, Linux, SQL Server 2000, MySQL 5
Time Frame: 1 Month
Media Subscription System
This client had us develop the next generation of their automated subscription
system using ASP.NET, Java, and a host of open-source technologies. We were
tasked with developing interoperable components that worked with their existing
web software, requiring us to write an ActiveX component in C++.
Platform: C++ (ActiveX), C#/ASP.NET, Java, Windows, Linux, Windows Media Server
Time Frame: 1 Month
Point of Sale Insurance Delivery System
For this client we are actively developing a multi-faceted insurance point of
sale and delivery system. Insurance brokers, those people who sell you
insurance directly, use the web application that we have developed to fill out
electronic forms and submit insurance policy information into our client's
legacy mini-frame processing system. This project required us to develop a
Windows console application that works with the WinFSC desktop rating system,
XML based web services, and a high-traffic web application using ASP.NET and a
high performance database server
Products: CIBR Framework
Platform: C#/.NET on Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000
Time Frame: On-going
Expert Rating and Rule Processing Engine
For this client we developed a state-of-the-art expert system used to compute
insurance premiums and perform electronic underwriting for an on-line policy
submission system. Using Java, we developed a stand alone server capable of
handling their intense traffic, which also allowed them to quickly extend their business
into additional insurance products.
Platform: Java JDK1.4, WebLogic, Windows
Time Frame: 6 Weeks
SBIR - Conversion Tool for CAD Geometries Into MCNP Format
As part of a medical treatment planning project, we are working on a tool to convert from STEP format to the MCNP input deck format. This project requires us to use computational geometry techniques to match non-uniform geometry elements with quadric and quartic surfaces.
Platform: C/C++ on Windows and Unix
Time Frame: 6 Months
Web Based Ordering System for iPod Repairs
We developed the full web application, including order fulfillment, payment processing, and supplier integration.
Platform: C#/.NET on Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000
Time Frame: 2 Months
Job Board Affiliate Program
We developed an entirely new affiliate program for a client who was engaged in redistributing job listings to various niche job boards. This project utilized ASP.NET and SQL Server 2000 as its technology and took us a few months to complete and polish. The system worked by integrating job listings from various well-known job distributors. Through an HTML/Javascript codelet, jobs were queried dynamically and displayed on niche job board sites.
Platform: .NET, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2000
Time Frame: 6 Months
Laboratory Information Management System
This client went on to distribute a product based upon the work we did for them.
The LIMS we developed was written in Java as an entirely stand-alone server
application capable of handling thousands of concurrent users in a laboratory
environment. We made heavy use of XML and XSL as the configuration and run-time
rendering technology, which made creating workflows and web forms especially
easy.
Platform: Java, JDBC, SQL Server, XML/XSL
Time Frame: 3 Months
